Meet The Team

A warm welcome awaits you at
Hexham Family Chiropractic.

On Front Desk

Nancy, Rachel or Susan will be the first people you see when you arrive. You will receive a warm welcome from whichever one of them is on duty, and they will be able to answer many of the questions you may have about chiropractic care.

It’s in large part thanks to our reception staff that the clinic has such a community feel. Even though we have a large and growing clientele, they take pride in remembering everyone by name and giving a very personal welcome. Susan and Rachel are Chiropractic Assistants, while Nancy has the added responsibility of being clinic manager.

The Chiropractor - Russell

Russell builds a relationship with every patient he sees, and puts his heart into getting them better. In this way he has built a very strong reputation in the north east since joining the clinic in 2010. Ask around locally, or check out our testimonials page, and you’ll find that people really appreciate the level of care they get from Russell, because they see the results.

Russell first experienced chiropractic when it helped him overcome back pain in 2001. It worked so well for him that he trained to become a chiropractor so that he could help others. He graduated in 2007 with a BSc (Hons) Chiro from the University of Glamorgan.

Since then he has constantly worked to improve his skills and so help as many people as much as he can. He has a keen interest in how chiropractic helps the body’s performance and has worked with many sports people including Championship and Premiership football players. A father of two, Russell also has considerable skills in using chiropractic to help pregnant women and children. To complement chiropractic he has trained in Myofascial Release, Dry Needling (a type of acupuncture) and many other therapies.

The Owners

Hexham Family Chiropractic is a family business. Husband and wife team Russell and Shelley Purchon have been proud owners of the clinic since 2015, and they take care of it together.

Shelley shares Russell’s interest in health and wellbeing, but her tolerance for spinach is more limited than his. Our online followers enjoy reading Shelley’s suggestions of healthy meals which children will actually eat. To join in, subscribe to our newsletter or check out Shelley’s recipe blog.
